Two planes
One Van
And a golf cart.
I'm finally here!
First off, the hotel is gorgeous! I can't believe we will be staying here for 3 weeks. We left at the godforsaken hour of 5:00 am and arrived in Punta Islita around 4:00 pm. Driving through those dirt roads was...an experience. The ride got better once we passed the beach and further into our little town. Once we were at the hotel, we cooled off with some mango smoothies and guacamole nachos. Then, we went around the resort in our golf cart (which will be our means of transportation for most of the trip). We then rushed down to the beach to watch the sun set. Next, we went back to our villa and got ready for dinner. At dinner we met Megan who went over the incredible schedule she made for us. Megan works with the Peace Corps and has been in Punta Islita for about a year now. According to her schedule, we will be introduced to the Centro Creativo Organization and then teach English tomorrow. I honestly cannot wait!
